We spent the weekend at the Infinite Light Agency event and we’re still thinking about how it all unfolded.
The space felt intentional from the start. Ndine Mulendo, the photo exhibition by The African Gypsy, really outdid itself. It wasn’t just about the work on display, but how people engaged with it, speaking about perspective and storytelling in a way that felt personal and reflective.
We also had the opportunity to watch three incredible films by Chembo Liandisha, and one directed by Nancy Handabile, exploring religion, tradition, memory and love. They shaped the experience of the evening in such a strong way. The conversations that followed were honest and detailed, the kind where people take their time to unpack what they’ve just seen.
There were also music listening sessions with artists like @spaceprogram_zm , touching on freedom, love and ukutulukusha, which added another layer to the experience.
Being surrounded by creatives who are actively building within Zambia’s film and art space felt grounding. People were open, curious and willing to share.
We networked, had some unexpectedly good conversations, and left feeling inspired in a quiet, lasting way. It was immersive in the best sense.
